My 3rd tribal project tribe is
The Huli Tribe, Papua New Guinea

They are one of the biggest tribes in Papua New Guinea, numbering over 250 000 people.

Known for striking face paint and also wearing wigs in a mushroom shape, grown by virgin boys for 18 months (very expensive)
They also use the feathers of the bird of paradise to decorate their wigs(poor things)

They live near the rivers and it's tradition to wet their hair with fern 3 times a day.

They usually pay in pigs and are also used to pay bride price to the family.

I had so much fun with this piece, half sleeve done over 2 long days.
